Bob Toop
Bob was born at Bere Regis in 1945, the second son of a Dorset Police Officer stationed at Sandford near Wareham and lived there until 1955. Secondary education was at Weymouth Grammar School and then at Blandford Grammar School until 1961. He spent eight years at the Atomic Energy Establishment, Winfrith including a 5 year apprenticeship.

Bob has been married to Jenny for 29 years and has two married children, Nichola and Andrew. One granddaughter three years old courtesy of Nichola and her husband Vince.

In 1969 Bob turned professional with a small group producing one LP and five singles over the next 5 years. He joined the Rank Organisation in 1974 and steadily worked from Service Engineer up to Company Income Protection Manager in the Bristol area. Bob suffered a heart attack in 1991 and marked time for three years, moving back from Bristol to Bournemouth. After three years running Sturminster Marshall Golf Club, he has moved back to Bristol to run a used car sales business with his family.
